What are Polytech implants?

Polytech Health & Aesthetics is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of breast implants. They are produced in Germany under rigorous quality controls and are made from biocompatible silicone of the highest purity. Their unique B-Lite product line contains small, hollow microspheres embedded in the silicone gel, making them up to 30% lighter than standard implants, without compromising on either safety or shape.

Our methods with Polytech Health

We offer a carefully selected range from Polytech Health & Aesthetics, a leading European manufacturer renowned for its high quality. Your surgeon will analyse your breast tissue in detail to recommend the profile that best complements your body.

Polytech B-Lite (Lightweight breast implants)

B-lite implants are up to 30% lighter than traditional silicone implants. The reduced weight puts less strain on the skin and connective tissue, which is particularly beneficial for patients who want a larger breast size or who lead a physically active lifestyle.

Polytech Round

For patients who wish for a fuller upper pole (more volume at the top of the cleavage), a round implant (Polytech Round) offers a more defined profile and a firmer underlying structure in the breast.

Polytech Anatomical

These teardrop-shaped implants mimic the shape and contour of the natural breast. They create a soft and extremely natural-looking silhouette, with the greatest volume in the lower part of the breast.

Gentle approach

Whether we use innovative B-lite breast implants or a traditional model, our plastic surgeons employ refined surgical techniques that minimise trauma to the tissue. By creating precise pockets for the implants, we work very gently. A meticulous approach is absolutely crucial to reducing bleeding, minimising swelling and ensuring that the implant is integrated into exactly the right layer of tissue for a smooth and long-lasting result.

The Evolution of You

Polytech implants
Step by step

We have a clear and reliable process, from your first visit right through to your final check-up, to ensure you feel fully prepared.

Consultation

Medical assessment and choice of method

Your surgeon will examine your tissue, and you will be able to try out different sizes and shapes (Polytech round or anatomical) in a trial bra to identify the volume that best balances your silhouette.

Before your procedure

Preparing for a safe operation

To ensure good blood circulation, you must refrain from smoking and taking blood-thinning medication in the weeks leading up to the procedure. On the morning of the procedure, you should shower using antibacterial soap to ensure maximum hygiene.

The day of the operation

Safe care at the clinic

The procedure is carried out under safe anaesthesia. The surgeon makes a precise incision, usually in the breast crease, and very gently places your Polytech breast implants in a custom-made pocket behind or in front of the chest muscle.

After the operation

Awakening and initial rest

You will rest in our recovery ward. Your breasts will often feel tight and tender. Our staff will ensure you receive adequate pain relief before you can, in most cases, go home later that day.

Recovery & healing

Self-care and convalescence guidelines

You should wear a medical sports bra around the clock during the initial period. You should avoid physical exertion and exercise that raises your heart rate during the first few weeks to ensure your implants heal properly.

Monitoring & results

Medical check-up and final assessment

Our nurse will check your incisions after about a week. A final check-up and assessment of the results will be carried out by your surgeon after approximately six months.

Results following treatment

The new breast volume is visible immediately after the operation, but initially the breasts will sit high and feel tight due to swelling. It usually takes three to six months for the chest muscle to adjust and for the implants to settle into their natural and permanent position.

Our plastic surgeons specialising in breast surgery

When you choose The Faculty for your Polytech implants in Stockholm, you will be looked after by a hand-picked team of plastic surgery specialists. Our surgeons’ in-depth knowledge of the complex anatomy of the breast is your greatest assurance of a safe procedure.

Who is eligible for the procedure?

To undergo surgery, you must be over 18 years of age, in good health and have realistic expectations. Polytech implants are suitable for women who wish to restore or create new breast volume. Polytech B-lite in particular is an excellent choice for those who exercise a lot, have thin tissue or wish to achieve greater volume. For safety reasons, we never treat patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and you must be a non-smoker to ensure good wound healing.

Risks and complications

All forms of surgery carry risks. General surgical risks include bleeding, infection or asymmetry. Specific side effects associated with Polytech breast implants may include capsular contracture, which means that the body’s natural scar tissue around the silicone implant becomes hard. Polytech implants are designed with advanced microtextured surfaces (Microthane/Mesmo) which, in studies, have been shown to reduce this particular risk. During your consultation, you will receive detailed information about all risks and our medical safety procedures.

Other treatments

If you prefer to avoid foreign materials altogether, we also offer breast augmentation using your own body fat (fat transfer). For patients who feel that their breasts have mainly lost their shape and skin elasticity, our surgeons perform breast lifts – a procedure that can be combined with a smaller implant for added fullness if required.

Why consider Polytech breast implants?

There are many reasons for having breast augmentation surgery, and they are highly personal. For some, the primary motivation is to restore volume following pregnancy or weight loss, whilst others wish to achieve a specific change in shape. Choosing the right implant is crucial to ensuring the result meets your expectations. Many patients specifically seek us out to access Polytech’s unique, lightweight breast implants (B-Lite), which have been proven to reduce the physical strain on the body’s tissue over time. We listen to your wishes to create a realistic, medically sound surgical plan.

Frequently asked questions about Polytech

Here we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions and answers about Polytech implants

What are B-Lite breast implants?

These are ultra-lightweight breast implants from Polytech (Polytech B-Lite). The silicone gel is infused with microscopic air-filled spheres, making them significantly lighter and gentler on the body’s tissue, skin and neck over time.

What is the difference between Polytech Anatomical and Polytech Round?

Anatomical implants are teardrop-shaped and provide the most volume in the lower part of the breast to mimic a natural curve. Round implants provide an even volume throughout the implant, creating a fuller upper pole (cleavage).

Are Polytech implants safe?

Yes, Polytech manufactures CE-marked implants in accordance with strict European quality standards and has a very solid body of clinical evidence to support its products.

What are the most common side effects (Polytech Implants review)?

Temporary swelling, tightness and tenderness are completely normal immediately after the operation. Long-term complications such as capsular contracture are rare but are a general risk associated with all implant surgery.

How much does a Polytech breast augmentation cost?

A standard procedure costs from SEK 53,900. If you choose the B-Lite series, the price may vary depending on the specific cost of materials. An exact price will be provided during your clinical assessment.

How long do Polytech implants last?

Modern implants are not designed to be replaced after a specific number of years. However, many people choose to have them replaced or removed after 10–15 years, often because the body’s tissue has changed naturally over time.

Are B-lite implants suitable for everyone?

They are suitable for the vast majority of patients. They are particularly beneficial for women who exercise a lot, have little natural breast tissue, or who want a large volume where a heavy implant might otherwise stretch the skin too much.
