The first step is a consultation with a plastic surgery specialist. You choose whether you want to book an online appointment or meet us in person at the clinic. During the appointment, you will be given medical information about risks, current waiting times and which techniques are best for you.

You will be admitted and meet your surgeon. Depending on the method used, the procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic with sedation, or under general anaesthetic, and usually takes around one to two hours.
After the operation
Awakening and initial rest
You will rest in our recovery ward. Your forehead may be bandaged to apply even pressure to the tissue. The vast majority of patients are able to go home the same day.

Self-care and convalescence guidelines
For the first few weeks, you should sleep with the head of the bed raised. You should avoid physical exercise, activities that raise your heart rate and heavy lifting for at least 4–6 weeks.
Monitoring & results
Medical check-up and final assessment
We will schedule regular check-ups to remove any staples or stitches from your scalp and monitor the healing process. After around six months, you will be invited to a final check-up.

Who is eligible for an eyebrow lift?

Is there such a thing as a non-surgical eyebrow lift?
Many patients are looking for non-surgical methods of eyebrow lifting. The most common searches relate to muscle relaxants (often searched for in everyday language as ‘Botox eyebrow lift’ or ‘eyebrow lift Botox’). Due to strict regulations governing prescription medicines, we market this as an injection treatment using muscle relaxants. By injecting into specific points (Botox eyebrow lift points), the forehead muscle is given room to lift the eyebrow by a few millimetres. We also perform treatments using "eyebrow lift fillers" (filler eyebrow lift / eyebrow lift with filler) to restore volume beneath the eyebrow. However, both of these methods are entirely temporary compared to a surgical lift.
Where can I see the results of injections compared to surgery?
Patients often ask for "Botox eyebrow lift before and after" or "Botox eyebrow lift photos". During your consultation, our injection nurses and doctors can show you relevant, medical before-and-after images to demonstrate the subtle difference a muscle relaxant makes, compared to the more extensive anatomical changes seen with a full eyebrow lift operation.
What will my eyebrow lift scars look like after the operation?
The location of the scars depends on the method used. With an endoscopic eyebrow lift, the incisions are made within the hairline, meaning the scars are concealed by the hair. With a direct eyebrow lift, the incision is made close to the upper hairline on the eyebrow itself. Initially, the scar is red, but with careful scar tape application and time, it fades and eventually blends in very well with the natural line of the eyebrow.
Can a brow lift and a forehead lift be combined?
Yes. It is actually the most common combination (forehead and eyebrow lift / forehead lift and eyebrow lift). Often, it is the downward pull of the forehead that causes the eyebrows to droop. By lifting the connective tissue of the forehead, the eyebrows are automatically raised to a more open, alert position, purely from an anatomical point of view.
Is the procedure carried out under local anaesthetic or general anaesthetic?
This depends on the extent of the procedure. A direct brow lift, in which the skin just above the eyebrows is removed, can be performed effectively under local anaesthetic in combination with sedatives. A more complex endoscopic forehead and eyebrow lift is performed under general anaesthesia to ensure optimal precision and patient safety.
