PRP
PRP is a natural treatment to improve skin texture, radiance and elasticity. It can also be used to promote hair growth.
What is the PRP?
Part of our blood is made up of plasma, which contains a high concentration of different growth factors.
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a natural treatment that involves centrifuging a small amount of blood (taken from the arm vein) to separate the platelets from the rest of the blood. These are then injected into the skin, helping to rejuvenate the skin, stimulate collagen production and increase blood circulation.
What is treated?
PRP is used to improve skin texture, radiance and elasticity, and to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scars and sun damage.
PRP is also used to promote hair growth and improve the health of hair follicles. The highly concentrated plasma is injected into the scalp to increase hair growth, improve hair quality and density, and reduce the risk of future hair loss.
PRP does not work for everyone suffering from hair loss and results may vary from person to person. It is usually recommended for people with hereditary or diffuse hair loss, but does not help with hair loss caused by medical conditions or medication. In hair transplants, we also use PRP to improve the survival of transplanted hair.
How long does the treatment take?
To achieve optimum results, a series of 6 treatments at four-week intervals is recommended, followed by a maintenance treatment every 6 months.
