Jonas Röjdmark's interest in plastic surgery began more than 30 years ago when, as a young physician's assistant, he trained in the plastic surgery department of Rhode Island Hospital in the United States. The opportunity to help people through advanced surgery and the creative dimension of plastic surgery made him decide then and there that this would be his speciality.

With around 35 years of surgical experience, the last 30 years specialising in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, Jonas is one of the most highly qualified surgeons in the industry. He has performed almost 20,000 procedures during his surgical career and has extensive experience in all types of plastic surgery - both reconstructive and aesthetic. Initially, Jonas worked both at Karolinska Hospital with mainly reconstructive procedures but quickly came into contact with aesthetic plastic surgery, which he now devotes himself to full time.

Since his doctorate, he has remained active in research and has regularly published his results in scientific journals. He has presented new methods to simplify complex plastic surgery problems (especially related to nasal surgery), as well as developed customised instruments designed to facilitate surgical treatments. He has regularly lectured both nationally and internationally at plastic surgery conferences. Between 2008-2009 he was part of the famous TV series "plastikkirurgerna", which reflects the patient's journey from consultation- surgery- to rehab after various plastic surgery procedures. Jonas has been a mentor to several younger plastic surgeons and taught a large number of so-called "fellows" (surgeons from other countries) in aesthetic plastic surgery.

An oddity that reflects the drive of his character is that he was a member of the national athletics team. He continues to enjoy sport in all its forms: athletics, tennis, skiing and not least advanced diving around the world. He speaks several languages and enjoys conversations with people from other countries and cultures.

He is a member of the Swedish Society for Plastic Surgery, the Swedish Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (where he has served on the board) and the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
